How 150E Louvres Transformed a Harpenden Home Renovation

When our client Mike began renovating his home in Harpenden, one of the biggest challenges he faced was how to manage the intense glare and solar gain at the rear of his property. With a large South West–facing apex window, sunlight often poured into the living space, raising indoor temperatures and making the area uncomfortable during peak hours.

Beyond performance, aesthetics were also crucial. Mike wanted a solution that would seamlessly integrate with the home’s modern design and colour scheme without compromising its architectural appeal.

The answer came in the form of the Aluminium 150E Louvre system. Engineered to reduce glare and cut excess heat, these adjustable louvres provide precise solar control while still allowing natural light to filter through. Their sleek, minimal design made them the perfect choice for a contemporary renovation.

Since installation, Mike has noticed a considerable reduction in internal temperatures and improved comfort throughout the day. He was particularly impressed by how well the system aligns with the home’s clean modern style:

“Very happy with the louvres – the team did a great job.”

This project is a great example of how functional shading solutions can also add elegance to a renovation, enhancing both comfort and design.
